I just took this picture of Abby. Seconds ago. No time for photoshopping because I'm so excited. My cheap school issued camera is this awesome (at times). *prints a million copies*

Remember in the JL Sims outtakes when the Tri-Leaders randomly showed up? I realized at the time that I had made those characters with the original game and no special downloaded items. It was definitely time for a makeover. So what better opportunity to make over their whole camp and themselves than a birthday party for Ann?

And then I was going to post it on Laura's actual birthday, but we had really bad storms and no power for my computer. :(

And then I was going to post it yesterday, but apparently I had storytelling mode off or something because it didn't save the pictures? Or it saved them in another place? I dunno.

And then I was going to post it today, but my game had a hilarious glitch at the very end (there are outtakes--to be seen later) and I have to re-do the second half.

So anyway, here's the first half! And happy birthday again, Laura! Ann! Laura! :)

I felt the need to repost this, just because I had to:

You’re Fired!

“We’ve come to the final few sacrifices and it’s time to make another lost decision. Daniel, I think you had a philistine day, and unless you say something really heathen, you should be safe. As for God, You were a slingshot until You threateningly agreed with Your two plagues. I always say if you hang out with Egyptians, you become an Egyptian. Now, for The Holy Spirit. I don’t think you’ve been a good Hebrew. You did not pray or manage your rainbows well on this task, and you did a terrible job flooding in public. I think you’re going to have a holy future, but not with the Trump Organization. I am sorry to say, you’re fired!”

In actual news, printmaking is awesome! We're having a great time and we're learning all kinds of new printing techniques! Two and a half more weeks!

:D

I dropped my iPod in the sink yesterday while I was washing dishes. Serves me right, I know. So it started freaking out and switching songs and changing the volume all by itself. I immediately searched the internet for any possible way to save it. The internet told me to put it in a sealed container of uncooked rice overnight because the rice would draw out all the water. And lo and behold, it's fine today!!! \o/

I downloaded (from iTunes, not illegally) the Broadway soundtracks for Billy Elliot and Rock of Ages. Both are awesome. (I also downloaded Don't Stop Believin' from Glee, which is even more awesome.)

My summer class starts tomorrow. It's three weeks long, every day from 11 to 4. There are five girls in the class and Mr. Pearce, the department head. Knowing the five of us, all I have to say is poor Mr. Pearce. We're doing mixed media printmaking. It's all very exciting. :D

In other great news, I'm going to see Celtic Thunder three times this fall! I'm going on October 24th to Atlanta. I have a hotel room at the Georgian Terrace hotel, across the street from the Fox Theater where they're performing. I'm going to Jacksonville on October 25th. (Hey, if they can do it, I can do it.) The Jacksonville theater is my favorite theater to go to and I've seen lots and lots of shows there. I'm also going to their last concert for this tour on November 21st in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's going to be good times.

Did I mention I'm also going on a cruise October 16-19? And the state art ed conference (where the five previously mentioned people are giving a presentation) is November 12-15? And the school Space Center trip is November 19 and 20? My only saving grace for all this travel and lack of sleep is that I'll have a student teacher, who will be solo teaching around that time. Oh, right! More news! They've (VSU and my principal) decided that I'm a good enough teacher to be a mentor for a student teacher! \o/

I had fun making this part. It wasn't that hard to do. So enjoy! (And I saw the request to submit my stuff to the contest, but I would hate to do that and not credit the people I downloaded this stuff from--and I don't know where I got it all.)

I only have one more scene to shoot for the next part of the JL Sims (unfortunately, it's a complicated one), but I had to share this preview picture with you. It's not the actual picture I'm using in the episode, but I laughed a lot when I took it.

And we all fall down! )

This part really shouldn't have taken this long, but it was the end of school and I was busy. Also, my game kept crashing for some reason, so I deleted an entire folder of new downloads and now it's fine. Problem is, I don't know what exactly was in that folder. If something's missing, I'll just have to download it again! Anyway, enjoy!

I waited patiently all day. I made dinner early and took a shower. I got my snack and my drink ready. I turned off the lights. I sat in my chair. I turned on the TV to watch the Supernatural season finale.

.........and that's the only channel that's not coming in tonight.

WHYYYYYYYY??????????????

*cries some more*

*uses appropriate icon*

So you all enjoy then! I'll have to see it tomorrow! Hooray! /sarcasm

So I had two fifth grade classes at one time today. That's about 60 kids in my classroom. Fun times, fun times. But that's not the story! As the last fifth grader trickled into my room from lunch, I walked over to close my door. And there it was, in the hallway.

Animorphs #5

I may have shrieked with delight, grabbed said book from the floor, and possibly hugged it. The children stared with either amusement or confusion.

Me: *demanding* "Whose book is this?"
Poor Fifth Grade Boy: "Um....it's....mine....I just checked it out from the media center....why....?"
Me: "I LOVE THESE BOOKS!!! I HAVE THEM ALL!!!! I WOULDN'T HAVE HALF THE FRIENDS I HAVE NOW IF IT WASN'T FOR THESE BOOKS!!!!"

The children stared with either amusement or terror.

It was a successful day.

Look at her!!!!! She can finally wear a bow in her hair! (Um. And this is as far as I'm going. No clothes for the dog.)

EEEE!!!! *loves*

I have a video of her shaking my hand (her newest trick) that I'll have to upload to YouTube at some point.

Also, I'm finished with grad school for the semester! Two A's! Hooray!!!

I haven't posted pictures of Sadie since she's had her clean bill of health and actually started growing her coat...have I?

In any case, PUPPY PICTURES! (And one cat.) )

She's not really a giant. I was really close to her when I took the pictures. She only weighs about five pounds now. *love*

I was going through my really old CDs today to find my first nano novel (about high school). And I have discovered the following items:

1. Several chats that I posted parts of in the quotes, but not all the parts. Chats of an incriminating nature that shall not be mentioned again, boys. ;)

2. Holly's Fingerprints back-of-the-book summary where she had each of us read a sentence, send her the sound file, and then she combined them. I still have the list of who is saying which part, too.

3. Todd's song that he recorded in a studio. Which I somehow remembered the words to. (I know there's a better way to end that sentence...but I'm sleepy!)

4. Lots of old Morphz MB stuff - like the time when a spammer forced us to be assigned passwords in order to post for like, two days, until we moved to EZBoard.

5. The JL movie posters, featuring famous actors in the roles.

6. A folder full of LJ icons that I loved at the time, but they kind of suck compared to standards these days.

7. Freshman college assignments.

8. My screencaps of Elijah Wood on SNL.

What did I not find? My nano novel. Sigh.

Just for fun!

- X what you saw
- O what you haven't finished/saw sizable portions
- Bold what you loved
- Strike for what you disliked/hated
- Leave unchanged if neutral

In which I've seen way too many Disney things. )

This part was really short and really easy to shoot, so it didn't take me very long. Yay!! My goal in life is to get to "Sacrifices" (only six more to go before that, including the Tri-Leader prom and Battle of Albuquerque!!! EEEE!!!). And maybe one day, I'll get to the Yacht of Justice, as I've already built that elaborate set. But for now? This!

As much fun as it was to shoot the singing/dancing scenes, I never want to code the html for it ever again. My copy/paste fingers hurt.

And JL writers? I like comments! *hints*
